Woman Arrested for Murder of Husband and Son in Chikkabanavara

The suspicious deaths of a 34-year-old man and his young son in north Bengaluru's Chikkabanavara have been identified by police as a double murder involving the man's wife and her alleged lover.
Investigators stated that Harini allegedly murdered her husband, Abhinandan, with the assistance of her lover, Vinay. Their son, Yaduveer, who woke up while the crime was taking place, was also allegedly suffocated to death with a pillow.
According to the police, a dispute initially broke out between the couple over sleeping arrangements. During the confrontation, Harini allegedly assaulted Abhinandan with a ladle before both went into separate rooms. Harini then reportedly contacted Vinay and called him over to the residence.
After Vinay arrived, the duo allegedly attacked and suffocated Abhinandan. When the child woke up during the incident, the suspects allegedly killed him as well to eliminate witnesses.
Investigators suspect that blood stains in the house were cleaned up afterwards to avoid suspicion and cover up the crime. Police also suspect that CCTV cameras at the premises were switched off when Vinay entered the house.
Harini was subsequently detained and interrogated by the police, after which further details of the conspiracy were uncovered. She remains in custody as legal proceedings continue.
Vinay fled the scene and remains on the run. Police search teams are currently looking for him in and around Herohalli near Kanakapura.
The bodies of Abhinandan and Yaduveer were subjected to post-mortem examinations before being handed over to relatives and transported to the family's native village for final rites. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue efforts to trace and apprehend Vinay.
