Warner Music Group Announces New International Technology Hub in Bengaluru

Warner Music Group (WMG) has announced a significant expansion of its Global Tech division, confirming the upcoming launch of a new international technology hub in Bengaluru.
The New York-based music and entertainment company announced on Tuesday that the Bengaluru facility will drive technical innovation across its global technology operations. The hub will power key initiatives in music distribution, data infrastructure, and specialized products, ranging from core data pipelines to audience and marketing data tools. It will also advance engineering efforts utilizing artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
The Bengaluru facility is scheduled to officially open next month. WMG confirmed that active recruitment is currently underway across multiple technology disciplines to build out its capabilities at the site.
Mahesh Rao, director of Software Engineering and site lead for India at WMG, highlighted the local talent pool following the announcement. He noted that the company is looking for ambitious engineers and innovators who want to help shape the future of the global music industry.
Leho Nigul, chief technology officer at WMG, stated that the Bengaluru location is central to the company's worldwide engineering strategy rather than just an extension of its existing tech team. Nigul explained that the company is investing heavily in local leadership, modern technology stacks, and globally competitive compensation to attract engineers capable of solving complex, high-throughput systems problems at the intersection of music and artificial intelligence.
