Two killed as speeding Mercedes-Benz crashes near Hoskote bridge in Bengaluru

Two men died late Friday night after a speeding Mercedes-Benz crashed into a road divider on the Satellite Town Ring Road near the Hoskote bridge in Bengaluru. The fatal accident occurred at approximately 12:45 AM when the driver lost control of the high-speed vehicle.
The victims of the crash have been identified by the authorities as 30-year-old Rizwan and his 28-year-old friend Sajjiya. Rizwan was a married man and a father of two children. According to preliminary information released by the police, Sajjiya had accompanied Rizwan for dinner on Friday night before the tragic incident took place.
The accident occurred while the two friends were returning to Bengaluru from Devanahalli. Police officials stated that Rizwan was driving a Mercedes-Benz car that actually belonged to one of his clients. While driving on the bridge near Hoskote, he allegedly lost control of the luxury vehicle, leading to the high-speed collision with the road divider.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the Mercedes-Benz was completely mangled. The force of the crash threw both occupants out of the vehicle. Rizwan was thrown through the car's sunroof and fell into a nearby drain, while Sajjiya was flung directly onto the road.
Following the crash, search teams launched an extensive search operation to locate Rizwan. His body was eventually recovered from the drain by the search teams.
Preliminary findings by the investigators suggest that the vehicle was being driven at an extremely high rate of speed at the time of the accident. Police suspect that overspeeding was a major factor that caused Rizwan to lose control of the car.
The police are currently reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage from the expressway and nearby areas, to reconstruct the exact sequence of events. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the precise cause of the fatal accident.
