Two Arrested for Strangling Man and Dumping Body in Vittasandra Village

The Electronic City Police have arrested a man’s son and son-in-law in connection with his murder, after his body was discovered behind an apartment building in Vittasandra village, Begur Hobli. The arrests were made within 24 hours of the police registering the case.
The victim, an unidentified man estimated to be between 45 and 50 years old, was allegedly killed following a domestic dispute.
The matter first came to light when a local resident noticed the deceased man's body behind an apartment building in Vittasandra village. Following the discovery, the resident approached the Electronic City Police Station to lodge a formal complaint. The resident sought the assistance of the local police to identify the legal heirs of the unidentified deceased man.
Upon registering the case, the Electronic City Police launched a swift investigation. Within a 24-hour window, the police successfully traced the legal heirs of the deceased. The investigation quickly pointed towards the victim's immediate family members, leading to the apprehension of his son and son-in-law.
During police questioning, the victim's son and son-in-law confessed to the killing. The suspects revealed to the police officers that a quarrel had broken out on July 4. The dispute rapidly escalated into a violent physical assault.
According to the police, the two men confessed that they strangled the victim using a rope. After the man was deceased, they allegedly took his body and dumped it in a eucalyptus grove in Singasandra.
Following their confession to the Electronic City Police, both the son and the son-in-law were formally arrested. The suspects were subsequently presented before a local court and were remanded to judicial custody on July 9.
