Two Arrested After Babu Shankar Bhusagol Beaten To Death With Stone In Sankeshwar

A 35-year-old man was beaten to death with a stone in Sankeshwar town of Hukkeri taluk, Belagavi, on Saturday night. The local police have taken two individuals into custody in connection with the killing.

The deceased has been identified as Babu Shankar Bhusagol. According to the police, Bhusagol died after being hit on the head with a stone.

The authorities suspect that the murder was committed in the backdrop of an immoral relationship. The husband of a woman who was in a relationship with Bhusagol, along with his friend, allegedly committed the crime.

In addition to the suspected affair, police received information that there had been a previous fight involving Bhusagol over a road issue.

Following the incident, police officials visited the spot to conduct an inspection of the scene. A case has been registered at the Sankeshwar police station. The two suspects remain in police custody as investigations proceed.
