Unidentified thieves stole MacBooks, an iPhone, and other valuables worth approximately Rs 6.6 lakh from a rented house on 19th Main, NGR Layout in Roopenna Agrahara, Bengaluru. The incident occurred during the early morning hours of June 13 when one of the residents stepped out briefly to get coffee, leaving the front door of the house unlocked.

The victims, identified as 26-year-old Karthik N and his roommate Tarun, are both employees at private firms. The stolen items included two company-provided MacBooks valued at about Rs 5 lakh, an iPhone costing Rs 1.3 lakh, an iWatch worth approximately Rs 25,000, and a wallet containing cash and identity cards.

According to the details of the incident, Karthik had checked his belongings at around 3:00 AM on June 13 before going to sleep. A few hours later, at approximately 6:45 AM, Tarun stepped out of the house to have coffee. Since Karthik was still asleep in another room of the house, Tarun left the main door unlocked during his brief absence.

The theft occurred within a brief 30-minute window. When Tarun returned to the rented house at around 7:15 AM, he discovered that the electronic devices, the smartwatch, and his wallet were missing.

The loss of the two MacBooks has a direct professional impact on the residents, as both laptops had been provided to Karthik and Tarun by their respective employers for work-related purposes. The total estimated value of the stolen gadgets and personal items stands at Rs 6.6 lakh.
