SNN Raj Corp Begins Controlled Demolition of 49 Flats at HSR Layout Project

Real estate developer SNN Raj Corp on Friday began the controlled demolition of 49 apartment units at its residential project, SNN Raj Etternia, located in HSR Layout, Bengaluru.

The developer stated that it is undertaking the demolition, subsequent reconstruction, and customer compensation entirely at its own cost. The decision came after the company identified an error in a geotechnical soil investigation report prepared by an external agency.

According to SNN Raj Corp, fresh soil investigations carried out by the firm showed that a critical borehole reading in the external agency's geotechnical report had been interchanged. This led to an inaccurate evaluation of the soil conditions at that specific section of the site.

The demolition work is being executed by Edifice Engineering and is projected to take six months to complete. Once the dismantling concludes, reconstruction of the affected apartment block will commence.

The developer noted that the dismantling is being carried out using a controlled and phased engineering method designed to ensure minimal vibration, manage dust generation, and protect adjoining occupied residential structures.

SNN Raj Etternia comprises a total of 972 apartments across the project. The company clarified that the ongoing demolition and reconstruction work is strictly limited to the 49 affected units.
