Sikkim Woman Allegedly Murdered by Boyfriend in Bengaluru's Doddakannahalli

A 22-year-old woman from Sikkim was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend on Sunday morning in the Doddakannahalli locality of Bengaluru.
The Bellandur police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident, which occurred following a domestic dispute between the couple.
The deceased victim has been identified as Ati Hangma Subba, who was working as a receptionist at a salon in Bengaluru. The accused, identified as Purba Lepcha, is a native of Darjeeling and was employed as a waiter at a hotel in the city.
According to preliminary details provided by the police, Subba and Lepcha were in a relationship. The couple had moved to Bengaluru about a month ago. Upon their arrival in the city, they had been residing together in Doddakannahalli.
On Sunday morning, an argument broke out between the two. Police reports indicate that the dispute began after the accused, Lepcha, allegedly suspected Subba of being involved with another person.
During the course of the altercation, Lepcha allegedly attacked Subba with a kitchen knife. He slit her throat during the confrontation, which led to her death from the injuries sustained.
Following the crime, the Bellandur police registered a case and took up further investigation into the matter. Officers are working to establish the exact sequence of events that led to the fatal attack.
