Siddu Moolimani's Horror-Comedy Seat Edge Makes Its OTT Debut

The Kannada horror-comedy film Seat Edge, which was partially shot in Bengaluru, has officially made its debut on digital streaming platforms. Starring actor Siddu Moolimani and directed by debutant filmmaker Chetan Shetty, the suspense thriller transitioned to the Over-The-Top (OTT) space in June 2026 following its theatrical run.

The film originally released in theatres across Karnataka on January 30. Produced by Giridhar T Vasanthapura under the NR Cinema Productions banner, with Sujatha Giridhar serving as co-producer, the project marked another key role for Moolimani following his appearance in Love You Muddu.

Seat Edge blends elements of horror, comedy, and suspense. The plot follows a digital vlogger who ventures into ghost hunting to secure online popularity, views, and viral content. However, the protagonist soon finds himself trapped in a chain of highly unpredictable and shocking events.

Director Chetan Shetty stated that the story was directly inspired by the lengths to which modern YouTubers and social media creators go to attract attention. He designed the film to explore the consequences of stepping recklessly into dangerous, unfamiliar territory, wrapping the message in a dark comedy and suspense framework.

Before making his feature directorial debut with Seat Edge, Shetty gained industry experience working as an assistant director on the Kannada films Chemistry of Kariyappa and Critical Keerthanegalu.

The production was filmed over a span of 45 days, with shooting taking place across multiple locations in Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga, and Kuduremukha.

The technical team for Seat Edge features cinematography by Deepak Kumar JK, editing by Nagendra K Ujjani, and choreography by Raghu RJ. The film's music was composed by Akash Parva. One of the film's tracks, "Hango Hingo," had previously gone viral and helped build anticipation ahead of the movie's theatrical release. The film is now available to a wider online audience through its digital release.
