Search Continues at Shivagange Hills for Missing Bengaluru Techie Advait Upadhyay

A multi-agency search operation involving more than 62 personnel continued on Tuesday at Shivagange Hills to locate Advait Upadhyay, a Bengaluru techie who has been reported missing since Friday.

Teams from the Bengaluru District police, NDRF, SDRF, the Forest Department, and local residents combed the forest terrain and surrounding areas. A drone team was also deployed to assist searchers as they looked for any trace of him across the region.

Investigators recovered Upadhyay's motorcycle, which was found parked at the foothills of Shivagange. CCTV footage retrieved by the police shows him parking the vehicle before he reportedly began trekking towards the hills.

Police learned that Upadhyay sent a selfie to his fiancée shortly before his mobile phone was switched off. Investigators have also recovered his laptop and are examining it as part of the probe.

Officials stated that they have so far found no reason to suggest Upadhyay intended to take an extreme step. However, police are not ruling out any possibility, including foul play, and are examining his disappearance from multiple angles.

The search operation will continue with teams focusing on the forest terrain, trekking routes, and other surrounding areas around the hills.
