Sanchith Sanjeev Earns Praise at Mango Pachcha Screening at Sudeep's Residence

A private screening of the upcoming Kannada crime drama Mango Pachcha was held at actor Kichcha Sudeep's residence in Bengaluru ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on June 5, 2026. The special preview, hosted in Sudeep's home theatre for media editors, offered an early look at the debut performance of Sudeep's nephew, Sanchith Sanjeev. Following the event, Vishweshwar Bhat, the editor-in-chief of Vishwavani Daily, shared his positive impressions of the film and its lead actor.
Directed by Viveka, Mango Pachcha is presented by Supriyanvi Picture Studios and KRG Studios. The project is produced by Priya Sudeep, Karthik, and Yogi G. Raj. The film marks the acting debut of Sanchith, who prepared for his role by studying filmmaking and acting at the New York Film Academy. Sanchith also has prior experience behind the camera, having worked as an assistant director on the film Manikya.
The story is set in Mysuru between 2001 and 2011, depicting an era before the widespread use of smartphones. It follows the journey of an ordinary youngster who transforms into a feared underworld figure known as "Mango Pachcha" while striving to reclaim his territory and build a reputation.
In his review shared on X, Bhat commended the film's production design, particularly the recreation of early-2000s Mysuru through its period-accurate costumes, vehicles, and locations. He also praised Sanchith's performance, noting that the debutant carries a significant portion of the narrative. According to Bhat, Sanchith demonstrated confidence in his dialogue delivery and body language, showcasing his character's transition from an ordinary youth to an underworld figure.
Bhat further highlighted Sanchith's action sequences, describing them as energetic. He noted that the newcomer's screen presence, expressions, and style bear a strong resemblance to Kichcha Sudeep's early career performances. Sudeep himself contributed to the film by providing guidance during its development and delivering a voiceover. However, Bhat observed that the film aims to let Sanchith establish his own distinct identity rather than leaning heavily on Sudeep's established stardom.
The film's ensemble cast includes Kajal Kunder, Prashanth Hiremath, Mayur Patel, Jai, Harini Shreekanth, Hamsa Narayanaswamy, and Ugramm Manju. The technical crew features music composer Charan Raj, with cinematography handled by Shekar Chandra and Swami.
