Sanchith Sanjeev Debut Film Mango Pachcha Earns Early Praise at Bengaluru Screening

The upcoming Kannada crime drama Mango Pachcha received its first critical reaction ahead of its theatrical release on June 5, 2026, following a private screening at actor Kichcha Sudeep’s residence in Bengaluru. Vishweshwar Bhat, the editor-in-chief of Vishwavani Daily, attended the special screening hosted by Sudeep and shared his early impressions of the film, which marks the acting debut of Sudeep's nephew, Sanchith Sanjeev.
The private screening was organized specifically for media editors inside the home theatre of Sudeep's Bengaluru residence. Directed by Viveka, the film is presented by Supriyanvi Picture Studios and KRG Studios, and produced by Priya Sudeep, Karthik, and Yogi G. Raj.
According to Bhat, Mango Pachcha is a period crime drama set in Mysuru between 2001 and 2011, an era before smartphones became commonplace. The narrative follows the transformation of an ordinary young man who becomes a feared underworld figure known as "Mango Pachcha" while attempting to reclaim his territory and build a reputation. Bhat praised the film's production team for successfully recreating early-2000s Mysuru through its costumes, vehicles, and locations.
Much of Bhat's review focused on the performance of debutant Sanchith Sanjeev, who previously studied acting and filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and worked as an assistant director on the film Manikya. Bhat noted that Sanjeev confidently shoulders the narrative, showcasing strong dialogue delivery and body language as his character transitions from an ordinary youth into a feared gangster.
Bhat also highlighted Sanjeev’s energetic action sequences, comparing his screen presence, mannerisms, and expressions to the early performances of his uncle, Kichcha Sudeep.
While Sudeep provided guidance during the film's development and contributed a voiceover, Bhat observed that the project aims to establish Sanjeev’s own identity rather than relying solely on Sudeep's star power.
The film's cast also features Kajal Kunder, Prashanth Hiremath, Mayur Patel, Jai, Harini Shreekanth, Hamsa Narayanaswamy, and Ugramm Manju. It features music by Charan Raj and cinematography by Shekar Chandra and Swami. Mango Pachcha is scheduled to release in theatres on June 5, 2026.
