RSS directs BJP leaders to strengthen booth-level poll preparations in Bengaluru

On Wednesday, leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) met with top Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Bengaluru to review preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and discuss organizational strengthening.
During the coordination meeting, RSS leaders directed the BJP to ensure that its booth-level agents (BLA) function effectively for the SIR. This directive comes amid reports that the governing Congress party in Karnataka has taken the revision process very seriously.
The meeting in Bengaluru was attended by RSS Sah Sarakaryavah Mukunda C R, Kshetriya Karyavah N Thippeswamy, and Kshetriya Pracharak Sudhir.
Representing the BJP were several prominent leaders, including BJP state president B Y Vijayendra, Union Ministers Shobha Karandlaje and V Somanna, Leader of the Opposition Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, and former minister V Sunil Kumar.
According to a BJP leader directly aware of the discussions, the party's preparation for the SIR was discussed to a great extent.
"The BJP’s preparation for SIR was discussed to a great extent. The RSS is aware that the governing Congress has taken SIR very seriously. The BJP was asked to see to it that booth-level agents (BLA) are effective in their work," the leader said.
In addition to the SIR preparations, the RSS and BJP leaders discussed strategies for strengthening the party organization. Senior BJP leaders were asked for their opinions on how to strengthen the organization.
The joint leadership also discussed the upcoming session of the state legislature.
"The likely issues that will be raised during the next session of the legislature were discussed. We were asked to draw up long-term and short-term strategies," the BJP leader added.
The RSS regularly takes stock of the BJP's activities in Karnataka. According to the leader, it was decided earlier that representatives from both organizations should meet roughly once every three months.
