Priyank Kharge Opens ₹41.5-Crore Police Housing Complex Near Anand Rao Circle

Priyank Kharge Opens ₹41.5-Crore Police Housing Complex Near Anand Rao Circle

Home Minister Priyank Kharge inaugurated a ₹41.50-crore residential complex featuring 128 housing units for police constables near Anand Rao Circle on Thursday.

Speaking at the inauguration event, Kharge stated that providing police personnel with decent housing and a conducive environment for their families is the government's responsibility, given the daily risks they face while working to protect society.

Constructed under the Police Gruha 2025 scheme, the residential facility consists of two separate blocks housing 64 units each. Both blocks include a stilt floor, a ground floor, and seven upper floors, spanning a total built-up area of 11,944.30 square metres.

Each individual flat covers an area of 620.31 square feet and includes a living room, a dining space, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom-cum-toilet, and a utility area. The project is designed to provide dedicated, self-contained living spaces for constable families stationed across the city.

The residential complex is equipped with modern infrastructure, including elevators, dedicated parking facilities, a water treatment plant, a sewage treatment plant, rainwater harvesting infrastructure, and solar water-heating systems. The surrounding premises have also been developed with internal roads, storm-water drainage networks, landscaping, water supply lines, and sewage connections.

Several elected representatives and senior police officials attended the inauguration ceremony, including Gandhinagar MLA and former Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, Lok Sabha MP P.C. Mohan, Director General and Inspector General of Police M.A. Saleem, and Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh.
