Police Verify Whereabouts of IAS Officer Untraceable at Bengaluru Airport

Police are verifying the whereabouts of an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer who has reportedly gone missing in Bengaluru after his mobile phone was switched off at Kempegowda International Airport.

According to reports, authorities traced the officer’s movements up to the airport. Investigators are now checking flight records and travel details to determine whether he departed from Bengaluru towards Delhi.

The officer has reportedly not been in contact with his family members, leading authorities to step in to monitor his movements and establish his location. However, no formal missing person complaint has been lodged by his family or relatives so far.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Minister Priyank Kharge confirmed that the state government is aware of the situation and noted that the officer has been untraceable for the past two to three days.

Kharge stated that the government is actively verifying the officer's whereabouts despite the absence of an official police complaint from his relatives. He added that there is currently no evidence confirming where the officer is located.

Police officials have not publicly identified the officer, though he is believed to have previously worked with the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC).

The officer's disappearance comes amid reports that he became untraceable following a raid conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Police are investigating the matter and are yet to determine whether there is any connection between the ED action and the officer’s absence.
