Passenger Caught with 82 Grams of Yellow Metal in Mouth at Bengaluru Airport

Security personnel at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru intercepted a passenger on Wednesday after discovering two yellow-metal capsules concealed inside his mouth.

The passenger, identified as Indian national Mohammed Siraj, had arrived in Bengaluru from Dubai and was scheduled to board a connecting flight to Ghaziabad.

The detection occurred at Terminal 1 during routine pre-embarkation security checks. CISF Sub-Inspector Deepak Kumar Sharma grew suspicious during the frisking process when Siraj allegedly failed to respond appropriately to questions posed by the screening officer.

The officer alerted his seniors, leading to a thorough examination of the passenger. Officials subsequently found two capsules containing yellow metal, weighing approximately 82 grams in total, hidden inside Siraj's mouth.

Following the discovery, the CISF handed over Siraj to the Kempegowda International Airport police for further legal proceedings. Authorities stated that the exact nature and valuation of the recovered metal are yet to be established as the investigation continues.
