Over 34 Lakh Bengaluru Electors Classified as ASDDO in Revision Drive

Over 34.7 lakh electors in Bengaluru have been classified as Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Other (ASDDO) during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration, according to official data released by the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA). The exercise, which covers all four administrative districts of the city including Bangalore Urban District, BBMP North District, BBMP Central District, and BBMP South District, has identified 34,70,175 such electors out of Bengaluru’s total voter population of 1,03,88,363.

The comprehensive house-to-house enumeration drive originally commenced on June 30 and is set to reach its conclusion on August 8, leaving roughly ten days for field teams to wrap up the initial collection phase across the city.

Official statistics released by the Greater Bengaluru Authority show that the city has crossed the 42 per cent digitisation mark as the drive enters its final stretch. As of July 27, a total of 44,24,604 Enumeration Forms (EFs) have been uploaded into the system out of the total 1.03 crore electors, achieving a digitisation rate of 42.50 per cent.

The ASDDO classification accounts for 33.40 per cent of the total registered voters in Bengaluru. The largest category within these records comprises voters who have permanently moved away from their listed addresses, with the GBA recording 24,57,971 permanently shifted electors across the city.

In addition to those who have relocated, field officials reported significant numbers in other ASDDO categories. Over 6.76 lakh electors were classified as untraceable during the home visits, while 2.82 lakh electors were recorded as dead. Another 41,388 cases were identified as duplicate enrollments involving individuals who were already registered electors elsewhere. An additional 11,283 electors were marked under the "Others" category.

Progress in digitising the enumeration forms varies across the four administrative divisions governed under the GBA. Bangalore Urban District is currently leading the four regions, having achieved 45.20 per cent digitisation of its voter forms.

BBMP North District ranks second among the administrative regions, having completed 42.51 per cent digitisation. BBMP Central District follows closely behind, with 41.04 per cent of its voter forms digitised.

BBMP South District currently records the lowest completion rate among the four administrative units, with officials having digitised 39.16 per cent of the forms collected in the district.
