Nagendra Demands Resignation of 126 BJP Ministers Amid Karnataka Assembly Row

Nagendra Demands Resignation of 126 BJP Ministers Amid Karnataka Assembly Row

In Bengaluru, Karnataka political leader Nagendra has pushed back against opposition demands for his removal from the state Cabinet, demanding instead that the Bharatiya Janata Party seek the resignations of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, West Bengal leader Suvendu Adhikari, and 126 other BJP ministers facing criminal cases.

The counterattack comes amid an ongoing political standoff during the Monsoon Session of the Karnataka legislature. The opposition coalition, comprising the BJP and the Janata Dal (Secular), has vehemently opposed Nagendra's re-induction into the state Cabinet.

Opposition legislators have disrupted legislative proceedings in Bengaluru, refusing to allow the normal functioning of the Monsoon Session unless Nagendra is sacked from his ministerial post.

In response to the relentless protests and demands for his dismissal, Nagendra addressed the opposition's campaign by turning the spotlight onto the BJP's own leadership. He called on the party to first seek the resignations of Suvendu Adhikari and Himanta Biswa Sarma, alongside 126 ministers across the country who have criminal cases registered against them, before targeting his position in Karnataka.
