Mohanlal's Drishyam 3 Grosses ₹6.70 Crore in Karnataka Over First Three Days

The Malayalam crime thriller Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal, has grossed approximately ₹6.70 crore in Karnataka over its first three days of theatrical release. The film, which opened in cinemas on May 21, 2026, is pacing toward one of the biggest opening weekends ever recorded for a Malayalam film in the region.

According to figures shared by industry tracker AB George on May 24, 2026, the film earned approximately ₹2.70 crore gross in Karnataka on its opening day. The collections experienced a dip on the second day, bringing in around ₹1.70 crore gross, before recovering on the third day with an estimated ₹2.30 crore gross. Official state-wise box office figures from the filmmakers are still awaited as the fourth day of collections continues.

Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 is the third installment in the long-running suspense franchise. The latest sequel is set several years after the events of the previous film, tracking Georgekutty and his family as they face renewed scrutiny regarding the Varun case after Georgekutty adapts his life story into a movie.

The film features returning cast members Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Siddique, and Asha Sarath. It is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, and presented by Pen Studios and Panorama Studios.

The technical crew behind the project includes cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, editor Vinayak VS, music composer Anil Johnson, production designer Prashant Madhav, and sound designer Sinoy Joseph. Trade observers are closely watching the film's performance through the remainder of its opening weekend.
