Ministers Inaugurate ₹4.65-Crore Kuvempu Theme Park in HBR Layout

Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda and Energy and Tourism Minister K.J. George on Tuesday inaugurated the Kuvempu Theme Park in HBR Layout, located within the Sarvagnanagar Assembly constituency. The park was developed by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

Spread across 1,500 square metres, the project was executed at an estimated cost of ₹4.65 crore. The site, which was previously overgrown with scrub vegetation, has been converted into a public green space.

The newly opened park features a 700-metre-long walking track, an open-air theatre with seating capacity for 100 people, an open gym, and children's play equipment. Additional amenities include stone benches, a gazebo, drinking water facilities, toilets, a lighting system, and special varieties of plants.

Following the inauguration event, the ministers launched several other infrastructure and civic projects in Sarvagnanagar. These included the white-topping of Nagawara Main Road, the rejuvenation of Kacharakanahalli Lake, and a waste segregation centre.

The visiting dignitaries also inspected a Leather Industries Development Corporation of Karnataka (LIDKAR) unit and conducted an inspection of the proposed market site on Banaswadi Main Road.
