The police in Bengaluru have launched an investigation after a 28-year-old woman staying in an apartment in Green Glen Layout was secretly filmed while she was bathing on May 31. The incident, which was reported on June 3, 2026, has raised significant concerns over privacy and safety within the residential community.

According to the complainant, the incident occurred at around 8:15 p.m. while she was taking a bath. She was shocked to notice a mobile phone positioned near her bathroom window, which was actively being used to record a video of her.

The resident was able to note details of the phone and the suspect. She described the mobile phone as sea-green in colour, featuring a dual-camera setup. She also observed that the unidentified man holding the phone was wearing a grey T-shirt.

Upon realising that she was being secretly filmed, the woman immediately raised an alarm to alert others. Despite her quick reaction, the accused managed to flee the spot before anyone could identify or apprehend him.

Following the resident's complaint, a formal case was registered by the local police. A senior police officer stated that the investigation is actively ongoing. Law enforcement officials are currently verifying footage from CCTV cameras installed inside the apartment building as well as in the surrounding areas of Green Glen Layout to gather clues and trace the suspect.
