Man and 5-Year-Old Son Found Dead in Chikkabanavara, Wife Detained

A 38-year-old man and his five-year-old son were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their residence in Gutte Basaveshwara Layout in Chikkabanavara on Monday. The police have detained the man's wife in connection with the incident.

The deceased have been identified as Abhinandan, an employee at a multinational company near Electronics City, and his son Yaduveer. The family originally hails from Kunigal.

The matter came to light after Abhinandan's wife, Harini, who is a homemaker, called the police control room to report the situation. Following the alert, the Chikkabanavara police rushed to the spot and subsequently detained Harini for questioning.

According to a police officer, an argument had occurred between the couple prior to the incident. Following the dispute, the father and son slept together in one room, while Harini slept in another room.

Harini told investigators that after waking up on Monday morning, she discovered her husband and son lying unconscious in their room. Both bodies had visible minor bruises. Police officials stated that the exact cause of death will be ascertained once the postmortem report is received.

Investigators have recovered the mobile phones of both Abhinandan and Harini as part of the probe. Police noted that Harini had reportedly left home about three months ago before returning. Authorities are currently investigating whether she was responsible for the deaths of her husband and son.
