Makers of Kannada film Hulibeera release new song highlighting North Karnataka

The makers of the upcoming Kannada feature film Hulibeera released a new promotional song on June 20, 2026, offering audiences a closer look at the project's rural North Karnataka setting. The film, which stars actors Anjan and Chaithra Thotad in the lead roles, is directed by filmmaker Mallikarjun Muttalageri.

The newly unveiled track is designed to capture the distinct cultural flavour of the region. It focuses on the journey of Beera, the film's central character, whose life is closely connected to his home village and its residents. The song blends traditional folk influences with contemporary musical elements, maintaining a style that aligns with the film's overall rustic atmosphere.

Visually, the song highlights the landscapes, daily life, and vibrant traditions of the North Karnataka region. According to the filmmakers, these elements are intended to give the audience a clear sense of the specific environment and community that the characters inhabit.

Hulibeera is set against the backdrop of rural Karnataka and explores several social themes, including migration, identity, and community. The plot of the film follows a young protagonist who holds a dream of bringing educated youth back to their native villages. His goal is to help create employment and developmental opportunities closer to home, preventing the need for rural migration. Through this narrative and its accompanying soundtrack, the film seeks to address these relevant social issues while celebrating local culture.

In addition to lead actors Anjan and Chaithra Thotad, the film features veteran Kannada actor Rangayana Raghu in a significant role. The musical score and tracks for the film have been composed by Veer Samarth.

The release of this soulful track comes as the promotional campaign for Hulibeera begins to gather pace. The makers hope the song will continue to build anticipation and curiosity among viewers ahead of the film's theatrical release.
