KSIIDC Plans Rs 20 Crore Heliport in Bagalkot

The Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (KSIIDC) has planned a new infrastructure project in Bagalkot, with proposals to construct a Rs 20 crore heliport. The planned aviation facility will be designed to enable three helicopters to land simultaneously.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, KSIIDC Chairman S G Nanjayyanamath detailed the scope of the project. He stated that the heliport would be equipped with basic facilities to support passengers and flight operations, including a waiting room designed to accommodate up to 30 people.

The execution of the heliport project requires a total of 10 acres of land. Currently, only five acres of land are available for the development. To address the shortfall, the KSIIDC has approached the Bagalkot Town Development Authority (BTDA) with a request to acquire the remaining five acres.

According to Nanjayyanamath, the BTDA has assured the corporation that the additional five acres of land will be allocated for the project.

The press conference where the announcement was made was also attended by Bagalkot Town Development Authority Chairman Prakash Tappashetti, along with Chandrashekhar Rathod, Srinivas Ballari, and other officials.
