IIM Bangalore Details Rs 26 Lakh PGP Fee And Aid As CAT 2026 Set For Nov 29

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore is set to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 on November 29, serving as the primary entrance exam for admissions to management programmes across IIMs. Ahead of the admissions cycle, IIM Bangalore detailed the fee structure, financial assistance policies, and scholarship provisions for its two-year Post Graduate Programme (PGP) for the 2026–2028 academic batch.

According to official information released by IIM Bangalore, the total fee for the two-year 2026–2028 PGP batch has been set at Rs 26,00,000. The fee encompasses tuition, library access, internet facilities, case permission royalties, course materials, hostel room rent, service charges, medical insurance, personal accident insurance, and alumni activities. In addition to the base programme fee, enrolled students will be required to pay a mess fee of Rs 30,000 for each term.

To support admitted candidates, IIM Bangalore operates a Financial Aid Policy aimed at ensuring that no student is deprived of education at the institute due to financial limitations. Under this policy, all PGP students whose annual household income falls below Rs 8,00,000 are eligible to apply for aid. The institute also evaluates applications from students who encounter severe financial distress resulting from sudden and unforeseen circumstances.

Alongside need-based financial aid, PGP candidates can access multiple merit and merit-cum-need scholarships. The Aditya Birla Scholarship awards Rs 1.75 lakh per student across both programme years, requiring first-year recipients to finish in the top 25 per cent of their class to renew the grant for their second year. The OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship (OPJEMS) offers Rs 1.50 lakh to one second-year student selected through an online test among the top ten academic performers of the first year.

Additional targeted grants include the NTPC Scholarship Scheme, which provides Rs 48,000 per year to second-year students from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories who cleared their first-year exams in a single attempt. Students committing to work in the social sector can seek the Employment in Social Sector Scholarship, which reimburses one-third of their fees at the end of each year of service for their first three years.

Government-backed support includes full tuition fee waivers under the National Scholarship for Higher Education from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for ST students and from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for SC students. The Department of Persons with Disabilities provides a means scholarship of Rs 2,55,000 annually for individuals with certified disabilities of at least 40 per cent. The institute also maintains alumni-supported awards, including the Nitin Agarwal Scholarship and the Parameshwara Iyer Award.
