Five Karnataka Students Score Perfect 625 Out of 625 in SSLC-2 Exams

The announcement of the SSLC-2 examination results in Karnataka on Saturday evening brought historic academic achievements, highlighted by five more students securing a perfect score of 625 out of 625.
The latest results have pushed the state's overall consolidated pass percentage to 93.1 percent, marking a substantial rise from the previous year.
Of the five students who achieved the flawless 625 out of 625 score, one belongs to a government school. The other four students are enrolled in private institutions across the state.
The examination data shows that a total of 1.03 lakh students appeared for the SSLC-2 exams. Among all the candidates who wrote the examinations, approximately 55 percent successfully passed.
With the conclusion of this round, the consolidated pass percentage for SSLC stood at 93.1 percent. This represents a major improvement compared to last year's pass percentage of 75 percent.
For regular fresh students, the pass percentage was recorded at 94.1 percent in SSLC-1 and 63 percent in SSLC-2. This combined performance elevated the consolidated pass percentage for regular fresh students to 98 percent, setting a new record for the state. In the previous year, the consolidated pass percentage for this category was 80 percent.
The SSLC-2 exams also provided an opportunity for students to improve their previous performances. A total of 11,892 students who had already passed the SSLC-1 exams chose to reappear for the papers to boost their scores. This strategy proved successful for a large majority, with 71 percent of these repeating students securing better marks than before.
Among those who improved their results, many achieved perfect scores in individual subjects. Specifically, 136 students secured 100 percent marks in their first language, 76 achieved perfect scores in their second language, and 144 did so in their third language. In core subjects, 52 students secured 100 percent in Mathematics, while 126 students achieved perfect marks in Science.
