FIRs Filed in Bengaluru Over Illegal Posters Featuring Minister Krishna Byre Gowda

Civic officials in Bengaluru have lodged police complaints after illegal posters featuring Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda and his wife were found pasted on public walls across Vidyaranyapura and Jakkur without prior authorization.
The action follows strict directions from the High Court and an explicit ban on banners and posters issued by the Greater Bengaluru Authority. Despite these prohibitions, unauthorized posters wishing the public for Independence Day were put up in multiple locations.
Legal action was initiated based on complaints filed by Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) responsible for the Vidyaranyapura and Jakkur Sub-Divisions.
In Jakkur Sub-Division, AEE Varun identified unauthorized promotional material displayed at a Railway Under Bridge by an individual identified as Shivakumar, who represented himself as 'Ex GBA'. Following this observation, the official registered a formal complaint at the Kodigehalli Police Station.
Separately, AEE Govindappa Bajanthri lodged a complaint at the Vidyaranyapura Police Station regarding the defacement of public walls at several points within Vidyaranyapura ward.
The complaints and subsequent cases were registered to send a firm warning to political party leaders and aspiring GBA ward corporators to comply with civic laws and end unauthorized public displays.
