Duniya Vijay's Son Booked for Alleged Kidnap and Assault of Student in Bengaluru

The son of Kannada actor Duniya Vijay and four of his friends have been accused of kidnapping and assaulting a first-year BBA student on Bengaluru-Mysuru Road following a dispute over overtaking a vehicle. The victim, identified as S Manish Gowda, has lodged a formal police complaint regarding the incident at the Kengeri police station.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 12:10 pm on Tuesday. Manish, a resident of Kamakshipalya studying at a private university on Bengaluru-Mysuru Road, was parking his two-wheeler behind his college when he was allegedly confronted. The complainant stated that the actor's son, Samrat Vijay, along with four others, forcibly pulled him into an SUV.
Manish alleged that the group assaulted him inside the vehicle while it was moving. The accused then took him near a bar located at Pattanagere in RR Nagar, where he was subjected to a severe assault. Following the attack, the group drove back to the campus area, dropped him off near the parking lot, and fled the scene. Manish later visited a private hospital for medical treatment with the assistance of a friend.
The altercation stemmed from an incident that occurred on Monday, when Manish reportedly overtook an SUV driven by Samrat Vijay while travelling through RR Nagar. The overtaking incident led to a heated exchange between the two motorists.
According to police sources, the dispute carried over into Tuesday. Samrat Vijay, who is reportedly a student at the same university, and his associates confronted Manish outside the campus premises before dragging him into the SUV. Following the assault, the victim approached the Kengeri police, who have registered a complaint against Samrat and his associates.
