Dhruva Sarja's KD The Devil Set For Zee5 OTT Release On June 5

The Kannada period action drama KD: The Devil, directed by Prem, is scheduled to make its official OTT debut on the streaming platform Zee5 on June 5, 2026. The film, which is set in Bengaluru's underworld during the 1970s, will be available for streaming to a digital audience in four languages: Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

The upcoming digital release comes a little over a month after the movie's initial theatrical release on April 30. Produced by KVN Productions, this big-budget action drama was designed with the feel of a multi-starrer targeting a pan-India audience. Its transition to Zee5 makes the film accessible to a wider digital audience via OTT streaming.

The storyline of KD: The Devil follows the character of Kalidasa, also known as KD, a young man whose life and journey are shaped by loyalty, family bonds, and the harsh realities of power. The narrative explores deep themes of brotherhood, revenge, and political rivalry, which director Prem has presented on a grand scale.

Dhruva Sarja plays the lead role of KD, bringing a raw and rugged screen presence to the film. He leads a story that blends intense action sequences with deep emotional conflict.

The film's ensemble cast is considered one of its biggest attractions. Alongside Dhruva Sarja, the movie features Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Reeshma Nanaiah, Vandan, Suraj, Deepika Gowda, and Ravi Shankar in key roles. A special appearance by Sudeep also sparked significant conversation and curiosity among the audience prior to the film's theatrical release.

On the technical front, Arjun Janya composed the film’s music and background score. William David took care of the cinematography, while the dialogues for the film were written by Kraanthi Kumar.
