Class 8 Student Akshara Dies After Collapsing at Bhadravati School

A Class 8 student collapsed and died at the Deaf and Mute School in Bhadravati taluk on the morning of August 10. The deceased student was identified as Akshara, originally from Annappagere village in Shikaripura taluk.

Akshara had been admitted to the Machenahalli school on August 7. She had reportedly been suffering from diarrhea starting on August 9. On the morning of August 10, when she attended school, she collapsed suddenly on the school premises.

School authorities immediately arranged for her to be taken to the nearby NU Hospital for emergency treatment. Upon arrival, doctors who examined her confirmed that Akshara had died on the way to the hospital.

Following the incident, local authorities were informed of the death. An unnatural death case has been officially registered at the Newtown police station in Bhadravati.
