Businessman Vaishak Found Dead in Actor Krishi Thapanda's R.R. Nagar Apartment

A Bengaluru-based businessman was found dead after allegedly taking his own life in the R.R. Nagar apartment of actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Krishi Thapanda on the night of June 24.
The deceased, identified as Vaishak, was a resident of Girinagar who had been staying at the R.R. Nagar apartment for the past few days. According to the police, Vaishak was alone in the flat at the time of the incident.
Shortly before the incident, Vaishak reportedly attempted to call Krishi. She was unable to answer as she was away in Nelamangala. Vaishak then sent text messages indicating his intention to end his life.
After noticing the messages, Krishi alerted Vaishak's family members, who rushed to the R.R. Nagar apartment. However, by the time they reached the flat, Vaishak had already taken the extreme step.
R.R. Nagar police stated that they did not find any suicide note in the house, nor was there any video message left on his mobile phone.
Following the incident, police registered a case under Unnatural Death Report (UDR) provisions. A senior police officer clarified that no allegations or suspicions have been made against any individual in connection with the death. The case was registered based on complaints filed by his family, including his father and his wife.
Vaishak had previously been arrested earlier this year in connection with an alleged extortion case involving businessman Aravind Reddy. In that case, Vaishak was accused of sending a threatening courier letter demanding several crores of rupees to Reddy. He was later released on bail.
The extortion case was reportedly connected to a long-running dispute between Reddy and Krishi. In November 2025, Rajarajeshwari Nagar police had arrested Reddy, a film producer, on charges of stalking and harassing Krishi following their prior live-in relationship.
Following Vaishak's death, Krishi arrived at the crematorium to pay her last respects, but members of Vaishak's family allegedly asked her to leave. R.R. Nagar police are continuing their investigation into the death.
