Bengaluru Police Issue Traffic Diversions for Eid Milad Processions on Wednesday

Bengaluru traffic police have announced extensive traffic diversions and vehicular restrictions across several parts of the city on Wednesday in view of Eid Milad processions converging at the YMCA Ground on Nrupathunga Road.

The movement of decorated vehicles and religious processions is expected to take place between noon and 11 pm. Authorities have identified multiple major corridors where heavy congestion is likely, including JC Road, KG Road, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road, Kasturba Road, Mallya Hospital Road, RT Nagar Main Road, Dinnur Main Road, Jayamahal Road, Nagawara Main Road, Tannery Main Road, and the Haines Road-Miller’s Road stretch.

To manage vehicular flow, vehicles travelling from Mysuru Road towards Majestic will be diverted via Nayandahalli, Nagarabhavi, Chandra Layout, RPC Layout, Vijayanagar, Toll Gate, Prasanna Theatre Junction, Hunasemara Junction, Lulu Mall, Okalipuram, and Khoday’s Circle. Motorists heading towards KR Market from Mysuru Road will be rerouted through Sirsi Circle, Chamarajpet, and designated connecting roads.

Additional traffic diversions will be enforced progressively around Market Circle, Town Hall, KR Road, and SJP Road as the procession advances. Commuters heading towards RT Nagar, Sultanpalya, and Kaval Byrasandra will be guided through Mehkri Circle, the CBI underpass, CBI Road, and RT Nagar Main Road.

In the northern and central sectors of the city, vehicular traffic heading towards Shivajinagar from Nagawara will be redirected along Hennur Junction Road, Kacharakanahalli, Lingarajapuram flyover, and Haines Road. Alternative routes have also been designated for motorists approaching from Shivajinagar, Tannery Road, Netaji Road, and Pulakeshinagar.

Heavy goods vehicles will face restrictions on select entry routes into Bengaluru between noon and 11 pm. Furthermore, parking has been strictly prohibited on several key stretches, including Nrupathunga Road, KG Road, NR Road, Kasturba Road, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road, MG Road, Queen’s Road, and sections of Cubbon Park.

Traffic authorities have advised motorists to plan their travel in advance, adhere to diversion signage, and cooperate with police personnel deployed along the routes.
