Bengaluru Police Book Adarsh Developers Over Unauthorised Gelatin Stick Blasts

Bengaluru police have registered a case against Adarsh Developers and several individuals on July 11 following the alleged use of gelatin sticks to blast large rocks at a work site.

The case was filed after police carried out a raid based on specific information regarding the unauthorised blasting activity. Alongside Adarsh Developers, the first information report names Arun Kumar, the owner of the earthmoving equipment, site in-charge Jagan, and site engineer Prabhakar, among others.

The police action was initiated following a complaint lodged by Satish, a site engineer who was overseeing earthwork at the location.

According to the complaint, the developers had instructed Satish to deploy gelatin sticks to blast the rocks. The site engineer alleged that the instructions were issued despite him warning the developers that mandatory official permissions were required before carrying out any blasting work.

Following the receipt of the complaint and specific intelligence, law enforcement authorities inspected the site, conducted the raid, and booked the developers, the equipment owner, and the on-site supervisory staff.
