Bengaluru Police Arrest Triple Murder Suspect Shwetha in Puducherry

A 25-year-old woman accused of stabbing her parents and younger sister to death in Bengaluru was arrested by a police special team near a railway station in Puducherry. The accused, Shwetha, and her live-in partner, Kenneth, had fled on a motorcycle from Bellandur in Bengaluru after committing the triple murder, according to police reports on June 25, 2026.

While Shwetha was successfully apprehended by the police, her partner Kenneth remains absconding.

According to investigators, the couple fled Bengaluru immediately after the murders, embarking on a motorcycle ride of nearly 300 km towards Tamil Nadu. The duo took active precautions to avoid police surveillance, which made the case highly challenging for the law enforcement team.

To prevent being tracked, Shwetha and Kenneth avoided using mobile phones, ATM cards, and other digital platforms. They switched off their mobile phones immediately after leaving Bengaluru. This forced the Bengaluru police special team to rely entirely on technology like CCTV footage, toll plaza cameras, and field intelligence.

Investigators tracked the suspects' movements by scrutinizing footage from multiple toll gates, mapping out the route the pair took as they entered Tamil Nadu. The police suspected the duo might head to Kenneth's native place in Tiruchirappalli or try to seek refuge with their relatives.

Based on these leads, multiple police teams were dispatched to different locations across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Officers stayed on the suspects' trail by monitoring toll plazas and other surveillance points.

The run ended when the motorcycle developed mechanical problems near Puducherry, forcing the suspects to abandon their travel plans and attempt to stay hidden. Police teams deployed in the region zeroed in on their location and apprehended Shwetha near the railway station.

Shwetha has been brought back to Bengaluru for further interrogation. Law enforcement teams are continuing their search for the remaining suspect, Kenneth.
