Bengaluru Police Announce Traffic Diversions and Curbs for August 15

Traffic police have announced extensive vehicular diversions, parking prohibitions, and metro station restrictions across central Bengaluru, including routes near KR Circle, Ambedkar Road, and Queens Road, for August 15.
Motorists travelling towards KR Circle via Ambedkar Road have been advised to avoid the stretch and instead take the alternate route via Balekundri Junction, Cunningham Road, Chandrika, LRDE, Basaveshwara Junction, and Palace Road.
For traffic heading from KR Circle towards Shivajinagar and Vasanth Nagar, drivers can take a left at the Maharani Flyover and proceed via Basaveshwara Circle and Palace Road. Alternatively, commuters can travel along Nrupathunga Road to Corporation Circle and take KB Road towards Shivajinagar.
Traffic officials also stated that entry and exit at the Dr BR Ambedkar and Vidhana Soudha Metro stations will be temporarily suspended for attendees of the event. Commuters have been advised to use the nearby Cubbon Park and Visvesvaraya Metro stations instead.
Parking will be strictly prohibited on both sides of Queens Road between Balekundri Circle and Queens Circle, as well as along the stretch between Queens Circle and CTO Junction.
To accommodate vehicles, designated alternative parking facilities have been arranged at the Scouts & Guides Parking Area, Freedom Park MLCP, Kanteerava Stadium, and the University parking facility near Jnana Jyothi Auditorium. Additional parking is available at the Government Arts College parking area, UB City parking, Shivajinagar MLCP, Nehru Planetarium, St Joseph’s High School Ground, and Link Road near Chinnaswamy Stadium.
