Bengaluru Musicians to Perform Carlos Santana Tribute at The Humming Tree

An all-star lineup of local musicians is set to gather at The Humming Tree in Bengaluru for a collaborative tribute concert celebrating the music of Latin rock icon Carlos Santana. The event, titled "One Night @ bFLAT," brings together two of the city's most prominent live music institutions to honor Santana's legacy and reunite the local music community.

The upcoming performance is designed as a reunion of the musicians, audiences, and memories associated with bFLAT and The Humming Tree, two venues that played a defining role in shaping Bengaluru's independent live music culture.

The tribute will feature a diverse lineup of prominent local artists, including Bruce Lee Mani, Tony Das, Ranjith Samuel, Debjeet Basu, Preran Gulvady, Osi Gomango, Imraan Jamal, Joshua Pereira, Alan Thomas, and Aakarsh Paul. Together, these musicians will perform an ode to Santana, whose musical influence has long impacted the city's music lovers and performers.

Arati Rao, the co-founder of bFLAT, explained that the event represents a milestone that goes far beyond a standard tribute show.

"This is more than a concert. It's a celebration of community, friendships and the venues that have kept Bengaluru's live music culture thriving," Rao said. "Music is bigger than everything, and it brings people together."

Rao also reflected on the historical roles both venues played in building the local scene. She noted that bFLAT was founded on a strong belief in the cultural significance of having dedicated spaces for live performances, catering to the diverse tastes and strong musical sensibilities of Bengaluru's residents.

According to Rao, the entry of The Humming Tree with a similar mission helped expand this artistic ecosystem. Together, the two venues established a supportive environment where independent musicians could thrive and local audiences consistently had a dedicated space to experience live music.
