Bengaluru East ST and Minority Students Invited to Apply for 2026-27 Scholarships

The Department of Social Welfare and the Department of Minorities Welfare have invited online applications for student scholarships for the 2026–27 academic year. Eligible Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in schools and colleges across Bengaluru East taluk, as well as minority students in the city, can now submit their applications through the State Scholarship Portal (SSP).

For Scheduled Tribe students, the Department of Social Welfare is offering both pre-matric and post-matric scholarships to help support their education. To qualify, students must be studying in schools or colleges located within the Bengaluru East taluk.

Applicants who require more details or need assistance with the ST scholarship application process can reach out to local authorities. The Office of the Assistant Director (Grade I) of the Department of Social Welfare is located on TC Palya Main Road, Bengaluru-560049. In a parallel announcement, the Department of Minorities Welfare has invited applications for pre-matric scholarships for the same 2026–27 academic year. This scholarship program is specifically designed for students belonging to minority communities, which include Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi, and Jain students.

This particular pre-matric scholarship is available to minority students who are currently studying in Classes 1 to 8. Eligible candidates must submit their online applications through the State Scholarship Portal on or before the deadline of September 30.
