Bengaluru Cybercrime Officer Dies in Madhya Pradesh Bus Crash

A cybercrime investigator deputed to the Southeast CEN police station in Bengaluru died in a road accident in Madhya Pradesh on the morning of August 28 while travelling for an official investigation.
The deceased officer has been identified as K.B. Ravi. He was part of a Karnataka police team that had travelled to Madhya Pradesh to pursue an active lead connected to a cybercrime case. Other colleagues travelling with him sustained injuries in the incident.
According to police sources, the team was travelling aboard a bus heading towards Bhopal. The accident occurred in Rajgarh district when the bus struck the railing of a bridge near the Bhopal Bypass.
The severe impact of the crash threw Ravi out of the vehicle. He sustained critical injuries and succumbed to them.
Following the fatal accident, the Bengaluru City Police dispatched a dedicated team of inspectors to Madhya Pradesh to oversee and complete the necessary official and administrative formalities.
