Bengaluru Creator Rida Tharana Reaches Finale of The Traitors Season 2

Bengaluru-based fashion and lifestyle content creator Rida Tharana has reached the finale of reality show The Traitors Season 2, marking a major milestone in her entertainment career alongside the launch of her entrepreneurial venture.

Tharana entered the reality competition as an innocent contestant tasked with identifying traitors among the participants, but the game shifted when she became a traitor herself. The pressure of the competition led to an emotional breakdown during the show, particularly following the elimination of her close friend Prish and co-contestant Ansh Chopra.

Alongside her television appearance, the 27-year-old creator has expanded into business by launching the clothing brand Nari with co-founder and entrepreneur Navya Varma.

Originally from Kodagu, Tharana moved to Bengaluru for higher education, an experience she credits with transforming her self-perception, providing independence, and building her career. Growing up as the eldest of three sisters in Kodagu, Tharana faced high familial expectations and struggled with self-image issues regarding her skin tone and hair. She noted that moving to Bengaluru provided an environment that boosted her confidence and allowed her to pursue content creation in her early twenties.

As her public platform expanded, Tharana invested in therapy to manage pressure, trust issues, and the urge for control. Over time, she has also established firmer boundaries regarding what parts of her personal life she shares online, keeping her personal relationships private.

Her visibility has also resonated back in her hometown, where she noted that young women from her family and village have begun advocating for their education and delaying marriage.

Looking to the future, Tharana stated that her long-term goal is to step back from public life, acquire land in Kodagu, build a home with animals, and create a space to host people away from the online sphere.
