Bengaluru Climate Summit Experts Urge Citizens To Take Climate Action At Home

On Friday, June 5, 2026, environmental and climate experts gathered at the Bengaluru Climate Summit in Koramangala to advocate for a shift in how the public approaches ecological sustainability. Organized by the Vimove Foundation, the event served as a platform for experts to emphasize that effective climate action must begin at the individual and household level.
The summit coincided with global World Environment Day campaigns, which featured tree-planting drives and discussions on climate change. Speakers at the event urged citizens to look beyond symbolic gestures and instead focus on everyday actions that can collectively create a significant environmental impact.
While acknowledging that governments and corporations hold a crucial role in tackling large-scale climate change, the experts highlighted that individual behavior remains a critical component of the global solution. The summit sought to encourage local residents to take personal responsibility for sustainability in their daily lives.
To mark World Environment Day, local students also took part in active campaigns in the city. Students from the Little Flower School dressed up as trees to participate in a walkathon. This walkathon was held at the Sai Baba School on Friday to raise awareness about environmental preservation and climate action.
The discussions at the Vimove Foundation's summit focused on encouraging local and personal responsibility. According to the participating experts, shifting the focus to household-level sustainability is essential to combating the ongoing challenges of climate change. By adopting daily green habits, residents can contribute to broader environmental goals.
