72-Year-Old Dies After Fall from 18th-Floor Flat Near Tank Bund Road in Bengaluru

A 72-year-old man died after falling from the 18th floor of an apartment complex near Tank Bund Road under the KP Agrahara police station limits on Sunday afternoon. The police suspect the incident to be a case of suicide, though an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances.

The deceased has been identified as Parameshwara. He resided on the 18th floor of the ETA The Gardens apartment complex along with his wife and children.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 1:45 pm on Sunday. Parameshwara reportedly stepped out of his residence and fell from the high-rise building to the ground below.

The security guard stationed at the apartment complex noticed the fall and immediately alerted the victim's family members as well as the local police.

Following the incident, family members informed the police that Parameshwara might have lost his balance and fallen accidentally from the building.

Officers from the KP Agrahara police station arrived at the scene and secured the area. The body was subsequently shifted and sent for a postmortem examination.

The police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) in connection with the incident. Officials stated that the exact cause of the death and the sequence of events leading up to the fall are yet to be ascertained as the investigation continues.
