70-Year-Old Man Injured in Indian Gaur Attack at Mudigere Coffee Plantation

A 70-year-old man sustained serious injuries following an attack by an Indian Gaur at a coffee plantation in Madhugundi village, located within the Sunkasale gram panchayat limits of Mudigere taluk in Chikkamagaluru district.

The injured individual has been identified as Nanje Gowda. The incident occurred while he was working alone on the plantation grounds, when the Indian Gaur approached and launched an attack on him from behind.

During the attack, Gowda sustained significant injuries to his thigh, arms, and legs. Unable to escape the animal on his own, he called out for assistance.

Hearing his cries for help, workers from neighboring plantations rushed to the location. The nearby workers intervened and managed to drive the Indian Gaur away from the area, securing the site.

Following the rescue, Gowda received immediate first aid for his wounds. Due to the serious nature of the injuries across his limbs, he was subsequently shifted to Mangaluru for further medical treatment.
