61-Year-Old MD Muralikrishna Cycles Across Bengaluru to Spread Anti-Drug Message

At 61 years of age, MD Muralikrishna is cycling through the streets of Vijayanagar and Govindarajanagar in Bengaluru to raise awareness among young people about the dangers of drug abuse.
Carrying a prominently displayed "No Drugs" board on his bicycle as part of his No Drug Abhiyan, Muralikrishna has made it his personal mission to pedal across the two Assembly constituencies to directly engage with the city's youth.
His awareness initiative is conducted entirely on his own, without the backing of any organisation, institutional funding, or a supporting team. Rather than relying on formal campaigns, he relies on individual outreach on the road.
During his rides through local neighbourhoods, busy thoroughfares, and residential pockets, the placard mounted on his bicycle regularly catches the attention of passing motorists, pedestrians, and young residents.
For Muralikrishna, the daily cycling effort serves as a direct way to initiate conversations with citizens on the street and deliver a clear message against drug consumption.
