3,000 Police to Secure Freedom Habba at Vidhana Soudha on August 15

More than 3,000 police personnel will be deployed to manage security for the Independence Day celebrations, titled Freedom Habba, at Vidhana Soudha on Saturday, August 15.
Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao announced on Thursday, August 13, that comprehensive arrangements have been finalized for the event. The celebrations will be hosted directly in front of the grand steps of the Vidhana Soudha.
Entry to the venue will be strictly regulated. Only registered visitors will be granted access, with one person permitted entry for each QR code issued. According to officials, approximately 18,000 citizens have already registered to attend the event.
Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh noted that the security deployment and related protocols have been planned specifically around managing the movement and flow of the registered visitors throughout the venue.
