20-year-old egg rice vendor found dead in Kumaraswamy Layout park, murder probe launched

A 20-year-old man was found dead with severe injuries inside a park in Kumaraswamy Layout, southern Bengaluru, on Sunday morning. The Bengaluru police suspect that the victim was murdered inside the park during the late-night hours.

The deceased individual has been identified as Rakesh, who was also known by the alias Raaki. Rakesh was a resident of Rajyothsava Nagar. He earned his livelihood by working as an egg rice vendor, selling food on a push cart.

According to police officials, Rakesh's body was discovered inside the park in Kumaraswamy Layout on Sunday morning. The body was badly beaten, and police noted that there were severe injuries present all over his face.

Investigators suspect that the suspected murder likely took place between midnight and 1:00 AM. Police officials believe that the killing occurred inside the park following a drinking session that took place at the scene.

The police have officially registered a case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder. Following the registration of the case, a search has been launched by the police to track down and apprehend the suspects who are believed to be involved in the crime.
