15-Hour Cauvery Water Supply Cut in Over 100 Bengaluru Areas on Friday

Cauvery water supply will be disrupted across more than 100 areas in Bengaluru on Friday due to emergency maintenance work undertaken by the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).

The disruption will take place for 15 hours, spanning from 6 am to 9 pm. During this timeframe, pumping stations linked to the network will remain shut down.

According to the water supply board, the emergency maintenance is being carried out to arrest a leakage in the 3000mm Scour Valve located on the pipeline of the Cauvery Water Supply Scheme Stage V.

The shutdown of the pumping stations will directly affect water supply to localities falling under the Stage V network across the city.

The BWSSB has requested residents in the affected areas to store sufficient water in advance to meet their essential requirements and to cooperate during the maintenance period.
